Simon is the Head of Litigation, heading up both the Commercial Litigation Department and the Social Housing Litigation Team.
Simon specialises in all aspects of commercial litigation including breach of contract, professional negligence, estate agency related litigation and complex commercial property disputes. Simon and his team are used to obtaining urgent injunctive relief where necessary, including applying for Freezing Orders and Search Orders where necessary.
Simon also specialises in all contentious areas of social housing law. Simon often works on complex cases involving homelessness, anti-social behaviour and Judicial Review. He acts for a considerable number of Local Authority and Housing Association clients across England and leads frequent seminars and training for our social housing clients and for various Police Forces across the country.
Simon is top ranked in Chambers Legal Directory. A prominent client says, “He takes the case and he owns it. We don’t feel as if we have to chase up with him on anything and I feel confident whenever he advises us”. He is also an accredited CEDR Commercial Mediator and has been a Solicitor Advocate since 1998 enabling him to appear in the High Courts.
He is a member of the Solicitors Association for High Court Advocates and the Social Housing Law Association. He has contributed to the Journal of Housing Law and Solicitors Journal and is a frequent contributor on housing related issues to LBC Radio.
I enjoy reading, travelling and theatre.
