Sanjeev Shah of Perrin Myddelton has recently completed a series of complex property transactions for a long-standing client. Sanjeev acted on the purchase of a property on the Bishops Avenue, London from a British Virgin Islands company for circa £5m for his developer clients who intended to redevelop the property into a luxury apartments. The seller company had become insolvent and therefore the sale was from Receivers for the BVI company. Sanjeev also dealt with his client’s funding of the purchase to including negotiating the terms of the facility letter and other loan documentation from the lender.
Following the securing of planning permission for the site, Sanjeev Shah acted for his client in relation to securing development funding to facilitate the construction of the luxury apartments with a build cost of circa £7m.
