Background
Frederick Perrin has 40 years’ experience of dealing with commercial property and social housing development acquisitions and commercial leasing. As Managing Partner, Fred is responsible for the overall management and direction of the firm, and maintains a key interest in overall quality control and case management.
While Fred continues to work for clients on transactions with particular complexities or nuances, the evolving nature of the social housing sector means that clients now use him for advice on areas which have a major bearing on commercial and operational performance. Examples of this include various strategic issues, as well as advice on legal structures and supplier and third party agreements.
Fred has considerable experience of site acquisition including consortium site acquisition, commercial property acquisition and of commercial leasing including extensive knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 Part II. He is also experienced in short and long term commercial funding by sale and lease-back and rent securitisations, also negotiation and finalisation of Section Agreements. Notably he was involved in the widely reported Court of Appeal case Jarvis Homes Limited –v- Marshall 2004 EWCA CIV 839.

He has a particular interest in classic cars and is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians of Britain and in military history. With regard to the latter, Fred has visited First World War and Second World War battlefields in France, the battlefield of Isandlwana in South Africa and Pearl Harbour in Hawaii.
