We are delighted to confirm that Perrin Myddelton have been selected by the Longhurst Group to provide legal services for their development of 400 new homes at Waterbeach Barracks, Cambridge. The development is on a former MOD barracks and airfield and will eventually provide over 1300 new homes, schools, retail and leisure facilities for the new community being created at this site in the first phase of development. There will eventually be two further phases of development of this site.
The Head of Development and Social Housing at Perrins said, “this is a substantial piece of work for the Group with individual sub-phases of development being released piecemeal over a number of years. Perrins will steer the Group through negotiations with all developers selected by the development manager for the site to construct housing. We have already achieved an exchange of contracts on the first sub-phase with Stonebond Properties and are working hard to get the Group to a satisfactory position to exchange contracts on sub-phase 2 with another developer.
