Riky Patel

Background

Riky joined Perrin Myddelton Solicitors in January 2015, having previously worked for a conveyancing firm in Canary Wharf, London. Having successfully obtained a Training Contract at Perrin Myddelton Solicitors, he qualified as an Associate Solicitor in 2019 and was later promoted as a Partner in February 2022. Riky has a wealth of experience in all types of residential property transactions including dealing with the more uncommon aspects of residential property such as refinancing, new build, shared ownership and auction properties. In addition to, all types of commercial property transactions such as refinancing, sales and purchases of commercial lettings including offices, warehouses, shops, HMOs, restaurants and acting for major developers in acquisitions and sales of development land, plot sales, transfers of equity and re-mortgages. He also has extensive experience in Landlord and Tenant transactions such as lease extensions, grant of leases, management advice, including all supplemental licences and deeds of variation.

Riky has also acted for large Housing Associations, and continues to do so, in complex transactions, such as Staircasing and Resales transactions. His clients regard him as pragmatic with an eye for detail, providing cost effective legal advice that is tailored towards their business needs and attending to emails and calls efficiently. This has resulted in Riky cultivating excellent relationships with clients.

Interests

I enjoy travelling, eating out and spending time with family and friends. I am a keen archer and enjoy Clay Pigeon Shooting where I have been awarded many trophies. When I get the chance, I like to play pool and darts. One day despite promising myself the same thing every year I would like to rejoin my Essex County Swimming club.
