The Perrin Myddelton Approach

We recognise that clients need a firm which is approachable and accessible; it is a critical part of the value we provide. In fact, we always aim to ensure that our clients regard us as an extension of their in-house teams.

We always look to be proactive and creative, and to help our clients throughout the life of projects and cases, from initial planning to completion and/or resolution.

We do not expect you to come to our offices. If it is not convenient, we will come to you, and we will do our very best to be as available as we can, even at short notice.

We understand the pressures and constraints that those involved in transactions can often be under, so we excel in helping clients to meet their objectives, and to meet them on time. We will always go the extra mile for clients: our ethos is to provide support whenever needed, for example, to meet tight deadlines. We know that sometimes the situation demands long hours or weekend work when deadlines are critical, so this is what we do.

We are always interested in understanding more about what our clients need and where we can improve. To this end, we invest in our relationships with clients. We pride ourselves on our ability to identify and meet client objectives. We believe it is our expertise backed with our empathy that sets us apart. The continuing loyalty of our clients over many years is testament to the services we offer.

CQS : The Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme quality mark

The practice is delighted to have secured membership to the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme - the mark of excellence for the home buying process.

The firm underwent rigorous assessment by the Law Society in order to secure CQS status, which marks the firm out as meeting high standards in the residential conveyancing process.

Law Society President Andrew Caplen said that the CQS accreditation is the hallmark of high standards and establishes a level of credibility for regulators, lenders, insurers and consumers.CQS is the quality mark of the home-buying sector and enables consumers to identify practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. With so many different conveyancing service providers out there CQS helps home-buyers and sellers seek out those that can provide a safe and efficient level of service.'

Fred Perrin says: 'Perrin Myddelton is delighted to have secured CQS status. Buying and selling a home can be a stressful time. By looking for a CQS firm like ours the public can seek out a firm that has proved its commitment to quality. The overall beneficiaries will be clients who use our firm when buying a home. They will receive a reliable, efficient service as recognised by the CQS standard. Many of our clients and major lenders will only do business with law firm’s that have achieved this demanding kitemark.'

The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self-reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society who meet the demanding standards set by the scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.
