Perrins was established in 1997 by Frederick Perrin, who has practised property law since 1972, specifically to serve the commercial property, development and social housing markets. Since then he has built a first-class team of solicitors with extensive knowledge and many years’ practical experience in their specialisms, which can offer clients a comprehensive legal property service.

Perrins number some 60 Housing Associations across London, the Thames Valley, the South East, and East Anglia as their clients and as solicitors to so many Registered Providers, provided and will continue to provide in the combined firm expertise from development site acquisition through shared ownership sales and drawdown funding.

Perrins expertise as the combined firm is well recognised within the social housing sector. It has achieved Grade 1 status amongst social housing law firms in the Thames Valley Region in the prestigious Chambers and Partners Directory of Law Firm Rankings. This is one of the most frequently used directories of law firms and their vetting process is totally objective and very rigorous. In addition, in the “Legal 500” publication we were ranked in Tier 2 for Social Housing in the South East.

Batchelor Myddelton was also established in 1997 by Robin Myddelton and has provided specialist services to commercial and private clients in the areas of commercial property, residential and commercial development, employment law, franchise sales, company sales and acquisitions, estate planning and residential conveyancing.

The Perrin Myddelton Approach

CQS : The Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme quality mark

The practice is delighted to have secured membership to the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme - the mark of excellence for the home buying process.

The firm underwent rigorous assessment by the Law Society in order to secure CQS status, which marks the firm out as meeting high standards in the residential conveyancing process.

Law Society President Andrew Caplen said that the CQS accreditation is the hallmark of high standards and establishes a level of credibility for regulators, lenders, insurers and consumers.CQS is the quality mark of the home-buying sector and enables consumers to identify practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. With so many different conveyancing service providers out there CQS helps home-buyers and sellers seek out those that can provide a safe and efficient level of service.'

The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self-reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society who meet the demanding standards set by the scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.
